Summary's:This is a staple in my childhood. I have loved this book ever since I was little. This book features the story about two kids who run away from their mundane lives and search for somewhere to live vicarious. Claudia and Jamie, brother and sister flee to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and sleep and hide within the museum and explore all the museum offerings. The two children flee from security and sleep in the posh beds of the museum. Soon, Claudia and Jamie are intrigued by a mystery within the museum and a possible lost work of Michaelangelo. This leads them to an interaction with the illustrious Mrs. E. Basil Frankweiler who knows of the children's whereabouts through the museum and allows them to explore this mystery of the artifacts of the museum.
What's Great About It: This story is a great coming of age story about two kids learning independence and self-sustaining aspects that will benefit them in the future. This is actually a great way of learning introspection  and the ability to navigate through a mystery. I think this is a great way to inspire children to use their imagination and yearn for an adventure. This book will want to make any child want to visit the Metropolitan Museum of art just so they can too embark on Claudia and Jamie's adventure.
